Hi, I’m Jon Snidle

JSN Mentoring was founded by me, Jonathan Snidle.

I have more than 10 years of experience as a senior teacher, and I have spent almost 20 years working in the field of education and behavioral research. My areas of research are mainly in developmental psychology and behavioral change.

For many years up until January 2021, I was working for a large trust in the southeast, with a large part of my role looking after the mental health and well-being of children and young adults in the areas of anxiety, trauma and motivation, and behaviour change.

Then late in that January ’21, I developed a DVT in my leg following Covid 19, this then moved to different areas around my body. Two days before my infection, I ran 30km in under 3 hours. Three months after, I had lost over 20kg of muscle and was still unable to walk up the stairs without taking a rest. I then started down the long road of building myself back up both mentally and physically. It was at this point I decided I wanted to pivot and change my work to be in support men with their mental health, and physical development needs.

I am also a keen bodybuilder and have completed well over 20 marathons, I have been a part-time Personal Trainer on top of my other jobs for over 15 years, and do so because I love the job. I am passionate about supporting people to get to their mental health and physical health goals.

My vocational qualifications are I hold a level 3 in Personal Training, a level 4 in Anatomy and Physiology, and a level 4 in Sports Massage Therapy.

My academic qualifications are an NPQSL, MRes in Education (Linked to behavioral Psychology and behaviour change), MSc (Psychology Mental Health and Well-Being), BSc (Computer Science and Mathematics), and PGCE (Secondary – Maths and Computer Science).
